But how to ensure our alumni know what’s going on?
The answer comes in the form of HTML email. This graphics driven message is an efficient and economical way to alert alumni to the latest news. When the email is opened the pictures act as links to web content. We are in the fortunate situation to have email address contact details for 25% of our alumni. So staring from June I will be sending out monthly emails.
And it works.
Feedback shows that nearly 80% of emails reached the recipient. So that’s nearly 10 000 alumni who have access to UoB alumni website at the click of a mouse. And you are already responding. I have several new leads to follow-up.
It’s not intended to replace the alumni newsletter Noteworthy, but to provide a regular monthly update on the wide world of UoB alumni.
